Research interests:
My research interests include the characterization of diamagnetic and paramagnetic biomolecules and drugs through Relaxometry measurements. This includes the characterization of contrast agents for MRI in order to improve their efficiency. I developed a program for the analysis of the NMRD profiles of paramagnetic molecules including ZFS effects. I am also interested in investigating, through Relaxometry measurements, the DNP signal enhancement that can be achieved in solution thanks to the Overhauser mechanism. Relaxometry studies of diamagnetic proteins (including IDPs) are performed to acquire information of their reorientation time (and thus aggregation state) as well as on the extent and timescale of local internal motions.
