I have been involved in investigations of various kinds of molecular motions such as overall/internal rotation, complex formation and hydrogen bond array dynamics in organic host molecules - calixarenes, cryptophanes and their supramolecular complexes. We also documented that oligomerization of retroviral matrix protein is facilitated by nanosecond time-scale dynamics of specific parts of the protein backbone. Most recently, I have addressed dynamics of molecules of hydrogen bonded liquids and dynamics of adsorbed species in porous matrices, typically micro- and mesoporous metal-organic frameworks and related hybrid materials applicable for gas storage and separation purposes. The experimental methodologies (including NMR in gas, liquid and solid states, nuclear spin relaxation and diffusion measurements) are complemented by corresponding theoretical calculations of molecular dynamics and others phenomena.
