Research interests:
My research interests focus on the analysis of serum proteins interaction with endo- and exogenous ligands (drugs, fatty acids, metal ions, hormones) and qualitative and quantitative analysis of protein modification due to the glycation, oxidation, glyco-oxidation, aging, pH – changes and other physiological processes. To evaluate the structure of modified proteins and proteins – ligands interaction I am using spectrofluorescence (SFM), UV-VIS spectroscopy, circular dichroism (CD), isothermal titration calorimetry (nanoITC), differential scanning calorimetry (nanoDSC), NMR spectroscopy, Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (CIEF) – UV Whole Column Imaging Detection (UV-WCID), solid phase microexraction (SPME) and also molecular docking. The study obtained based on the available techniques/methods allowed for observation and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo conformational changes of proteins that permit to understand the physiological consequences of protein structure disorders. Moreover I am interested in the development of methods used for the rapid diagnostic. Study of ligand albumin interaction is an essential element of drug design and the analysis of the dynamics of this process based on the NMR relaxometry should be taken into account.
