New contrast agents based on Quadrupole relaxation enhancement. Application of Relaxation theory to quadrupole enhanced relaxation Our Research group have currently implemented a small animal insert into a clinical 3T scanner which allows us to cycle the B0 field up to ± 200mT around the SIEMENS 2.89T field and a co-worker of us (Markus Bödenler) is just implementing appropriate imaging sequences for MRI. We are interested in differential relaxation dispersion imaging, which matches: O5.2: To develop and to validate technology for in vivo imaging. T5.4: Develop in vivo imaging protocols including state-of-the-art MRI and FFC MRI sequences
